Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-08
1. Service
Smithy is a platform for League of Legends players to create, organize, and share champion pools, tier lists, and build loadouts. The service is operated from Japan.
2. Eligibility
You must have a Riot Games account to sign in. By using Smithy you confirm you agree to Riot Games' own Terms of Service and that your Riot account is in good standing.
3. Your Content
Content you create — tier lists, builds, notes — is created as a draft visible only to you. You choose explicitly when to publish it. Once you publish content, you grant Smithy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content through the service. You retain ownership of your content and can unpublish, archive, or delete it at any time.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) harass, threaten, or abuse other users; (b) impersonate others; (c) scrape the service programmatically outside of Riot-approved means; (d) attempt to disrupt service availability; (e) use the service for illegal purposes; (f) upload content that infringes third-party rights.
5. Intellectual Property
League of Legends, champion names, items, runes, and all related assets are the property of Riot Games, Inc. Smithy is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by Riot Games. All other Smithy code and design is owned by the operator.
6. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterpreted access, accuracy of game data, or fitness for any particular purpose. Your use of the service is at your own risk.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if you violate these terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe harms other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
